    Uniformed Division Special Constables are tied to the Patrol Sections within Patrol Operations of the London Police Service (LPS). These Special Constables work as part of a team supporting Constables within Patrol, Headquarters Detention Unit, and the Headquarters Reception Unit.

  • Technical Writer (Permanent, Full Time)

    The Technical Writer drafts, creates, and maintains LPS documentation to ensure it is clear, accurate, and user friendly. The role bridges technical complexity and user needs to allow end users and clients to follow processes with confidence. Working closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders, the position gathers information and keeps documentation current with a substantial focus on the grant proposal process. 

  • Supervisor, Procurement (Permanent, Full Time)

    The Supervisor, Procurement is responsible for leading and managing the Procurement Unit (PU), overseeing sourcing, purchasing, logistics, and administrative functions to support both operational and capital requirements across London Police Service (LPS). This role includes developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, budgetary requirements, and risk mitigation practices. The Supervisor manages vendor relationships and contract negotiations to secure favorable pricing, service levels, and long-term value, while also supporting budget planning and financial administration for the Procurement Unit. This position plays a key role in ensuring best practices are applied across all procurement and contract management activities.

  • Communications Operator, Uniformed Division (Temporary, Full-Time)

    Communications Operators receive 911 calls from members of the public and other agencies reporting emergency and non-emergency occurrences within the City of London and initiate the response of Police, Fire, Paramedics and/or other City services. Callers are often involved in stressful and life-threatening situations and Communication Operators respond in a professional, empathetic manner and act accordingly.

  • Risk and Quality Assurance Specialist, Corporate Services Division

    The Risk and Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for LPS risk management strategies as well as the LPS quality assurance program. This position will utilize risk management principles while conducting audits to reduce or mitigate risks to the LPS and its members, ensure legislative compliance and reinforce the LPS's commitment to public transparency by ensuring accountability.
